<p>DRIVING AND USING MACHINES</p>
<p>Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel sleepy or dizzy or could affect your eyesight after taking METROGYL O TABLET.</p>

<p>ALCOHOL</p>
<p>Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking METROGYL O TABLET because it might cause unpleasant side effects such as nausea, vomiting, hot flushes, stomach pain, very fast or uneven heartbeat and headache.</p>

<p>KIDNEY</p>
<p>METROGYL O TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems and patients undergoing kidney dialysis. Consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<p>METROGYL O TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<p>ALLERGY</p>
<p>Do not take METROGYL O TABLET if you are allergic to metronidazole, ofloxacin, other quinolone antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin or norfloxacin or any of the other ingredients in this medicine. Consult your doctor before taking it.</p>

<p>HEART DISEASE</p>
<p>METROGYL O TABLET should be used with caution in patients who experienced aortic dissection (a tear in the aorta wall) and in patients with a history of heart attack (myocardial infarction), family history of the prolonged QT interval, weak heart (heart failure), very slow heart rhythm (bradycardia) Consult your doctor before taking it.</p>
<h2>OTHERS</h2>
<p>METROGYL O TABLET is not recommended for you, if you:</p>
<ul>
<li>Suffer from epilepsy</li>
<li>Have a history of inflammation and swelling of the tendons</li>
</ul>
<p>Before taking METROGYL O TABLET, inform your doctor if you:</p>
<ul>
<li>Have been diagnosed with an enlargement of large blood vessels (aortic aneurysm)</li>
<li>Ever had a history of mental illness</li>
<li>Have a salt imbalance</li>
<li>Have a disease of the nervous system or suffering from a nervous system disorder called myasthenia gravis</li>
<li>You are diabetic</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Use in Pediatrics:</strong></p>
<p>METROGYL O TABLET is not recommended for children. Consult your doctor before taking it.</p>
<p><strong>Use in Geriatrics:</strong></p>
<p>METROGYL O TABLET should be used with caution in the elderly. Consult your doctor before taking it.</p>
<h2>INTERACTIONS</h2>
<p><strong>A. Drug-Drug interactions:</strong></p>
<p>Before taking METROGYL O TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines:</p>

<li>Warfarin (anticoagulants)</li>
<li>Lithium (used to treat mental illness)</li>
<li>Phenytoin, primidone, phenobarbitone (used to treat epilepsy)</li>
<li>5 fluorouracil, busulfan (used to treat cancer)</li>
<li>Ciclosporin (immunosuppressant)</li>
<li>Disulfiram</li>
<li>Quinidine, hydroquinidine, sotalol, dofetilide, ibutilide, disopyramide, amiodarone (anti-arrhythmic)</li>
<li>Clomipramine, amitriptyline (tricyclic antidepressants)</li>
<li>Erythromycin, clarithromycin, azithromycin (antibiotics)</li>
<li>Iron or zinc (dietary supplements)</li>
<li>Magnesium or aluminium (antacids)</li>
<li>Corticosteroids</li>
<li>Ibuprofen or diclofenac (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)</li>
<li>Theophylline (used to treat asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)</li>
<li>Glibenclamide (used to control blood sugar)</li>
<li>Cimetidine (used to treat stomach ulcers)</li>
<li>Probenecid (used to treat gout)</li>
<li>Methotrexate (used to treat rheumatism)</li>
<li>Doesanosine (used to treat HIV infections)</li>
<li>Furosemide (water tablets or diuretics)</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Overdosage:</strong></p>
<p>If you or anyone else accidentally receive too much of METROGYL O TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.</p>
